The perfect city of the 21th century is the mirror view of those of the Renaissance as Piero della Francesca designed it.
However, this new architecture went through modern times.
These works combine many references and influences, from Renaissance’s paintings, Russian cinema (Eisenstein and Tarkovski), German cinema (Fritz Lang), to the comic world (Bilal).
Going all over these cities, Jean-François Rauzier experienced this feeling of abandon and devastation. A failed dreamed architecture. But hope remains in the center of the composition, embodied by a door opened on nature.

Je suis aussi particulièrement intrigué par l’éclairage : si c’était un montage photographique ordinaire toutes les vues auraient un éclairage différent. Alors sont-ce vraiment des photos ou y a-t-il une part d’image de synthèse ?

J’ai découvert votre travail dans un reportage consacré à votre exposition au musée des années 30. L’explosion du ressenti est immédiate face à vos oeuvres ! Magique, Fantasmagorique, gothique mais aussi tellement proche de notre réalité si complexe.
Votre empreinte est si puissante dans un monde où la photographie numérique semblait rendre les choses si accessible à tous mais aussi si dangereusement uniformisées à mon sens !
